This photos was taken during an anniversary session at Mountain Shadows, Scottsdale.

The sun can be really tough here in Phoenix depending on the time of day. Most times you do everything you can to avoid the tough light but sometimes you can take advantage of it. This was one of those times that it worked so well. Our lovely bride (during a session to celebrate their 5 year anniversary) was game for enduring a little bit of really hot sun for a very short while.

It’s a tough light to use to make someone look good and fortunately for us, she happens to look good with just about any light source! The hard light emphasizes texture and shape and we really liked how she looked against this wall with these colors and the light.
