“Love is the poetry of the senses” – Honore de Balzac

It was was nearly a decade ago that the bride’s family came into our lives. Keith photographed the bride’s older sister’s wedding on a warm August day the year Isabella was born. One of my favorite weddings to date, even all these years later. The genuine love and sincerity of the family, beautiful on the inside and out, brings tears to my eyes when I look back at these photographs.

Fast forward to last weekend. To think that the bride was a teenager at her sister’s wedding and now it was her wedding day. She is so beautiful. So kind. So genuine. And most importantly, so in love.

As I scroll through all the photographs of their wedding day, I can’t help but see the real emotion of the day. To see her mom and her sister and know how deep their bonds are – brings me to tears. To see two people so happily in love join together is just so beautiful. To be able to record the story for them – to have Keith’s photographs become part of their family’s history forever is such an absolute honor.

Lyndhurst, a Gothic Revival-style mansion, located on the banks of the Hudson River in Tarrytown, NY was the perfect backdrop for their wedding on this beautiful May day. What a gorgeous spot with sweeping lawns, lush greenery and beautiful landscape design overlooking the Hudson River.

If you could outline what a perfect wedding day should be – this wedding had it all. But most importantly it had the intangibles, the genuineness, the poetry of the senses.

In my humble opinion, an instant classic.
