Resting Boy

children, portrait

the blog:

Hi All,
Here is a quick shot from a recent shoot I did with a wonderful family. I would like to mention that my penchant for leaving out context for a lot of my portraits is to both maintain the privacy of the individual/s and to keep you from judging the image based on anything other than the image itself. Photographs in most cases are meant to elicit a reaction at some level in the viewer. The more successful images do that quite noticeably. Some images are part of a sequence or visual story ( Duane Michals comes to mind) and therefor are stronger together than apart. Either way, they should not need words to make their statement. Do you agree? If not then I would love to hear why. Please feel free to comment on the photograph while you are here as well.

Sincerely,

Keith
