the blog:

As I mentioned in an earlier post this week – Keith had a family portrait session scheduled in the Bay area last week.  We decided (since we really wanted to visit with friends in the area) that rather than Keith just flying in and flying out for the day, we would make this a family road trip.  After the family session was complete, we decided to leisurely drive home the scenic route.  Our first stop was Monterey – unfortunately, we pulled into town a bit too late in the day for the Monterey Bay Aquarium, but we were able to see a mom and baby sea otter in the harbor and lots and lots of sea gulls.  3 of the pictures below are taken on a pier (or under the pier) in Monterey.  The kids had a blast dodging the tide, running on the beach and eating their clam chowder!
