To say it’s an honor to photograph someone’s wedding is a complete understatement. It is a privilege to document such an important day for a couple. These photos become part of their family’s historical record – something that is passed down from generation to generation. An heirloom. Wow. How lucky are we?
While we view every wedding through it’s own uniqueness – and we certainly embrace all that makes each wedding different from the next. But there are wedding days that are flawless and fun, they seem effortless in a sense because the months and months of planning has gone off without a hitch.
The bride is calm, smiley and happy as we arrive. Like she doesn’t have a care in the world. She has prepared, and she has relayed what she wants and has entrusted the execution to a very very talented planner. There is a sense of serenity in the bridal suite. And readiness in the groom’s room. This day is happening, perfectly.
And wow does this make our job oh so easy. A stunning bride. The groom with the best smile ever. Bridesmaids in gorgeous one of a kind dresses with so much detail that I’m jealous I don’t have one of these hanging in my closet. Everything going off as planned. Heartfelt ceremony. Incredible weather (ok a little more Miami-esque than we are used to here in Arizona) but still beautiful. Adoring friends and family. What more can you ask for?
Oh and it doesn’t stop there. Castillo Lucena is filled with eye catching details. Spectacular table centerpieces, flowers that look like a study in art history – come to life. Couple that with an overall organic feel, textures and tones that feel sophisticated and elegant, yet somehow understated. Shades of pink and orange, pops of gold, put together with some obvious knowhow!
And then the fun started! In an instant the dance floor was packed. Non stop laughter and fun! A wedding filled with absolutely everyone the couple held near and dear. A truly special day. Enjoyed by all!
