PHOTOGRAPHERS & WRITERS

WHAT WOULD HAPPEN… if 26 of the best writers in metro Phoenix was paired with 26 of the best photographers in metro Phoenix?

AND WHAT IF… each team was asked to create their work within certain boundaries (writers: 500 words or less, any genre; Photographers: up to four pictures in one image, any style) and told to capture the past, present or future of one randomly selected downtown Phoenix city block?

AND WHAT IF… Rafael Navarrowas asked to capture his perspective of all 26 city blocks on 4×4 wood blocks?

THE RESULTS

AND WHAT IF… the resulting work of 26 photographers, 26 writers and one sculptor were unveiled at After Hours Gallery on May 7th, 2010 and began a tour in Phoenix until January 31, 2011?

That’s what we did.
