This cake cutting was beautiful. An elegant cake – enough for the 300+ guests – a gorgeous bride and her handsome groom. And then a little cake in the groom’s face and the sweet kiss that followed. But what I love most about this photo are the bridesmaids reactions in the background. They definitely approved of the cake cutting.

The photo is an example of why we love weddings so much. There is always so much more going on than the perfect photo or the expected photo. Keep looking past the obvious and you end up with a fun photo like this. Will it make the wedding album, don’t know. But I love the candid fun of the bridesmaids – again a little bit of layering to the photograph telling more of the story a reminder of the playfulness of the couple, enjoying their wedding day.
