The American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Buckeye event is being held October 17th & 18th 2008 at Verrado High School. This year, like last, Keith will donate his time to photograph this amazing community event that benefits the fight against cancer and the “memory of someone lost to cancer, in honor of someone still fighting, or in special recognition of someone who has beaten this disease.” In addition to photographing the event, Keith Pitts Photography will donate $25 from each holiday mini session to Relay for Life!
Here is one of Keith’s pictures from last year:
I will take the liberty of quoting the Relay for Life brochure: “Relay for life brings together millions of people to raise money to help prevent cancer, save lives, and diminish suffering from the disease. Teams of people camp out at a local high school (or other venue), each team is asked to have a rep on the track at all times during the event – because cancer never sleeps. Relays are an overnight event, up to 24 hours in length.”
