The JW Marriott Desert Ridge was the perfect setting for this beautiful wedding day.
It’s always fun when a bride and groom do things a little bit different. Actually that’s what makes photographing weddings so much fun, no two wedding are alike. Ideally the outcome is the same, the couple gets happily hitched but it’s how they lay out their special day that varies from couple to couple. I loved their philosophy on their wedding day from the first time we met.
The bride and groom were so laid back, just letting the day unfold. The bride was fine with Keith’s suggestion of doing the first look in the busy main lobby. It was fun to see the guests reaction – seeing this gorgeous bride strolling through the crowded lobby – and seeing his reaction when he saw her for the first time.
They allowed ample time in their day’s schedule for family photos as well as allowing the right amount of time for their photos together. (Oh I need to write a blog post about this, too many couples don’t allow enough time for their photos! I will not digress now, but it is very important to make sure you factor in some quality time with the photographer and the two of you!)
The couple’s time line worked perfectly. Family photos done before the ceremony. A nice extended cocktail hour after their beautiful ceremony allowed for some quality time photographing the two of them with the best light of the day. AND they still enjoyed cocktail hour! Win, win, win for all.
A lovely day and evening. Thank you so much for including us on such a special day!
