I read something interesting the other day in Brides Magazine: “Engaged women spend 30 hours per week planning their wedding”. Wow – multiply that by a few months and that is ALOT of time. In my opinion, hiring a wedding planner to help you organize and plan your wedding is not only money well spent – it helps you keep your sanity (and remain productive at work!). But the best part about hiring a wedding planner is that you actually get to enjoy your own wedding!
The important role the wedding planner plays can not be understated. They deal with every aspect of the planning process and ensure that the bride and groom have a perfect wedding day, without the stress of trying to do it by yourself. As I often say, I have no idea how much wedding planners get paid, but whatever it is, I just know it’s not enough!
One woman that does this job exceptionally well is Rhonda Rush of Impact Events. She is a dynamo. Personable, organized, funny, friendly, part psychologist, creative, sophisticated, a real people person, she is just great at what she does. And the best part is that she makes it look so simple.
What is your favorite part of the wedding day? My absolute favorite part of any wedding day is when the bride walks down the aisle and looking at the groom’s reaction – its pure joy and happiness and love all around when they first see each other. Such a feel great moment!
What is one question you wish clients would ask more often? I wish clients would ask me more about our day to day work – there are tons of behind the scenes legwork for events…lots of time and labor invested…if they only knew! We know what it takes to pull off a successful client event – stylistically and professionally.
There is a lot of competition in your field, if I was a bride, why should I hire Impact Events? Impact Events was launched 10 years ago and has always kept the mantra “Every client event should be “uniquely-theirs” – fresh, fun and always fabulous – there are no repeat performances!
What is your favorite part about your job? There are so many great parts to my job – working with so many wonderful brides and their families, beautiful resorts and venues, amazingly talented vendors! We are very fortunate here.
What do you want everyone to know about Impact Events? We make every effort to get to know our clients and what they envision for their event. Once we solidify that, we go into full planning mode. Bring on the schematics, assemble their awesome vendor team and away we go! We are about client personalization, strong communication and attention to detail.
What is your inspiration? My inspiration comes from daily life…an early morning run, discovering new design sites, traveling, dining, entertainment, family time and everything in between. Each day is different so I treat it as such.
If you had all the money in the world, what would you be doing? If I had all the money and time in the world, I would travel the world with my family to see all the amazing landscapes and cultures and bring those experiences back and incorporate that into my client events.
