Our Portrait Station: Sophisticated, yet fun!

wedding

I am not necessarily on top of photo booth trends in the wedding industry. But I will say over the last year, our portrait station has been a huge hit at weddings. I know props and fun photo booths have their place but a good old fashioned well lit photograph is always appreciated. It’s cliche but […]

Bridal Portrait | Studio Photography | Downtown Phoenix

wedding vendors

How happy does this gorgeous woman look towards the end of her portrait session? She isn’t a professional model, but a mother of five beautiful kids that did a friend a favor and modeled this handmade wedding dress. She is such an incredible spirit, peaceful and beautiful. How lucky are we that we get to […]

a beautiful family | phoenix holiday portrait photographer

portrait

This is another one of our favorite families here at Keith Pitts Photography. Keith has been photographing this beautiful family for the better part of 4 years. One of the original Yoga Moms – a great group of women that have been friends since they were first pregnant and took a prenatal yoga class together! […]

couple in paradise… | paradise valley wedding photographer

portrait

The paradise I referred to in the title is Paradise Valley of course. For those who don’t live in or around here (The Greater Phoenix Area) it is a nice place. A bit like Greenwich, CT with desert landscaping. The couple in question have strong ties to the area and wanted their engagement photos to reflect it’s natural beauty. I feel that has been accomplished with the added benefit of showing off how beautiful they are with a dollop of they really like each other (plus love). Not bad for a two dimensional medium without sound. What do you think?

dogs are people too… | phoenix portrait photographer

Uncategorized

Here are a few shots from the other day. I had the distinct pleasure of working with a wonderful couple that really love their dogs. I can easily relate as I was raised with a seemingly endless parade of dogs. I am currently dad to a 10 year old Jack Russell Terrier named “Pooch” as well as my two bi-pedal girls. Pooch is my first born and commands the respect of her two younger sisters. I can’t imagine them growing up without a dog to love. I believe that a good relationship with pets from a young age in addition to nurturing parents (or parent in my case), helps foster empathy. While there are many instances where this has not been true, I do feel that it can be a factor. Regardless of whether or not I am correct, dogs are awesome!

a few photos of a few adults… | gilbert portrait photographer

portrait

Here are a few photos from a fun group I worked with recently. They had me laughing a lot of the time and even tipped me with a bag of grapefruit. Mmmmm… grapefruit. It was really good. Thanks again. I hope you all enjoy the sneak peek.

sisters in scottsdale | scottsdale children’s photographer

children

Here are a couple of shots from a recent mini session at the Scottsdale Mall. How cute are these two? I personally find that child mini sessions are the most difficult thing I shoot. The reason being that I have trouble stopping in such a short period of time (20 minutes). The kids are so cute that I have to force myself to keep to the schedule (or at least close to it). What is it that you love so much that you can’t stop? Thanks for sharing.

sun’s photos on display | phoenix portrait photographer

General

It is nice to see my photos getting some sun (pun partially intended). I know that the photos of Steve Nash and Grant Hill are being used on the season calender posters, some others are on display here and others will be on display through out the city soon. I still get a kick out of seeing my work on public display. Go Suns!!!

party portraits look like fun | scottsdale wedding photographer

wedding

“Party Portraits” seemed to be a big hit at the recent wedding at the Inspirador in Chandler. We weren’t there to photograph the whole thing, just this, and it went great. Party Portraits are our take on the photo booth idea. It takes up a bit more real estate but produces a much better result. Everyone seems to have really enjoyed themselves on our set (if you are to believe the faces in the photos). This is an example of a simple idea done well. I have seen this idea done well on occasion but it is usually butchered (in my opinion). That said, what do you think of our version? Oh, do you recognize the ever fabulous event planner to the beautiful, Victoria Canada in the photos below? If not then you should.

a peek at some beautiful children | scottsdale children’s photographer

Here are a couple of previews for the parents of these two. I have had the privilege to know them and their parents now for a couple of years and have photographed them before. They are as nice as could be and are a wonderful reflection on their parents. I hope they like these as much as I do. I know they will love the rest that I am saving for them. What do you think?
