our love of photography spans so many subjects. There are great photographs everywhere.

There is just something special about ballerinas. I don’t know exactly what it is but they are magnetic as subjects of photography. At high levels you can’t help but marvel at their composure, body awareness and control but I don’t think that is all there is to it. There is just an intangible beyond the obvious.⠀

This group of aspiring dancers were performing at the Orpheum Theater in Phoenix, Arizona. They are students of the Arizona School for the Arts. It’s an incredible non profit public charter school with an outstanding academic record as well as a great performing arts curriculum. We are biased of course since our children go there. The school does have a top notch reputation though.

We love how the performing arts foster confidence in the kids which is an important attribute to have when they enter the difficult and rewarding world of adulting. ⠀
