The purpose of this entry is to keep to something I mentioned a while back. That something is to note other photographers who I feel are notable. In this case it is Nick Brandt. Until I ran into his book “On This Earth” in a Barnes and Noble one day I had never heard of him. The book blew me away. It is a collection of his work with African wildlife. The photos are the best I have ever seen on the subject. Every image stands on its own as a work of art. If you have never seen his work then you don’t know how majestic any of these animals can look. Do yourself a favor and acquire a copy. I say all this while not being a big fan of nature photography. Look for yourself. I can’t imagine that you would not be impressed.
